May Contain: Extended descriptions of how to get arrested while chained to a backhoe, copious amounts of sisters, Appalachian accents, cheerful silliness interspersed with tragic background realness. Pining with a happy ending. Chicken related controversy.
Tragic background realness mainly consists of parents passing away, because who doesn’t love adult orphans. Discussion of funerals. Very brief homophobic interaction in chapter 18 (marked in the chapter intro notes). There is no violence, but there are a few moments where you might think there might be violence. Overall this is a romance not a gritty, hard hitting documentary.
If I missed any potential triggers I always appreciate being told as I know what it's like to have my day/etc ruined by something in a fic.

Seriously, this is a foolproof plan. Maybe one of Sokka's best. Absolutely nothing can go wrong.

The children of the continent really needs to learn how to identify monsters, and which strategies should be used for which ones (such as the classics "play dead", "hide", "run really fast" or "scream really loudly"). And clearly, the best way to get children to learn and remember a bunch of monster facts is a TV show with cool witchers and some incredibly ear-wormy songs.

Tired of being harassed by his friends and family about not settling down, Jaskier blurts out that he has a boyfriend. A boyfriend who is a soldier deployed overseas. Who? they ask. Why Geralt de Rivia, his bff Yennefer's ex and lauded hero. Didn't you see the article online about him? Yes, I know he only grunted when asked if he was seeing anyone, but hey, that's his Geralt.
Cue Geralt receiving the strangest care package ever, from a name that is vaguely familiar. Inside are all his favorite snacks and a love letter from a complete stranger (who was clearly quite intoxicated when he read it).
After a call to Yennefer (the only name he could cobble together from the terrible handwriting) for interpretation, he comes to understand he's being asked to send a Dear John letter to her college bestie Jaskier, who is pretending he has a boyfriend overseas. The reason for the breakup? Jaskier blabbering about their relationship when Geralt had asked him not to.

Summary

Clint quickly finds himself knee-deep in potsherds and surrounded by suspects-- and possibly even zombies-- while navigating his pseudo-relationship with Phil.
Phil, meanwhile, is having the time of his life. It's the perfect opportunity for him to finish his PhD dissertation and rid himself of his annoying preoccupation with Clint's ass. Or so he thinks.
But in Driftless, very little is exactly what it seems.

“My name is Jaskier,” he answers, crossing his arms.
“Jaskier. You really want to help?”
“Yes,” he says, before he can question the safety or intelligence of it.
The man’s body tenses, as if bracing himself. “I need to get into the sewers underneath the university campus,” he says through gritted teeth as though it physically hurts him to have to make a request of Jaskier.
“You can’t get into them from the rest of the sewers?”
“No, they’re closed off.”
“Hmm.” Jaskier thinks about it. Considers it carefully. Then he says, “Okay. I have an idea. Follow my lead, witcher.”(or: Jaskier is a bardic arts student at Oxenfurt University who finds new inspiration in a witcher with a reputation problem. Geralt is a witcher who finds himself oddly captivated by a bard who trusts a witcher without fear. Romance ensues.)
