Sokka grumbles, knowing his face has gone pink. “Yeah, well, dudes don’t do that mushy shit,” he says. Suki takes off her sandal and whacks him on the top of the head sharply. “Ow! Okay, sorry! Sure, we’re two dude best friends who love each other, can you leave me alone now?”When Sokka is thirteen, the grumpy boy and his weird uncle turn up in Wolf Cove. Zuko is rude, he's annoying, and he's a puzzle Sokka just can't solve. It's exactly what he needs to make things interesting around here.

Summary
The events at Crescent Moon Island during the Winter Solstice turn out a little differently. Summary
They haven't seen each other in 20 years, so imagine Sokka and Zuko's surprise when they are called to their old high school because their son's have decided to continue the Tarkik-Takibi rivalry, despite never knowing it previously existed. The principal issues an ultimatum that forces these former enemies to make a pact to ensure their sons make it past their 6 month probation and are able to avoid expulsion.
As sparks start to fly, both Sokka and Zuko quickly realize they've signed up for more than they bargained for.
Healing isn't linear, and apparently, neither is falling in love.

When Sokka moves from Alaska to Massachusetts with his family, he doesn’t expect to end up next door to two loud neighbours who all they seem to do is fight. He definitely doesn’t expect to befriend Zuko, a quiet, angry boy who makes Sokka feel how he’s never felt before.
Together, they’ll show eachother what love feels like, and how close that feels to pain.
All Zuko knows is how to fight. It doesn’t matter if the love heals or burns; it’s all a fight, a fight he can’t win, but he can’t give up. He doesn’t know if he can trust this new stranger with bright blue eyes and a far too trusting smile. Zuko already has a life, a life with Zhao. And Sokka threatens all of that.
The feeling of love, desire, creates such impossible happiness, but it is all-consuming, and can’t be held. Like trying to capture the sun with cupped hands, but the warmth it provides is so beautiful, and so temporary, because if he stays like this, he’ll burn.

Summary
The Fire Nation is on the verge of collapse. It has been two years since the young Prince died from complications after losing the Agni Kai with his father, and his father in turn killed by his daughter less than six months later.
