Summary
"There was an endless rocking, it seemed, in Asozu's head.
It moved back and forth, over and over, the feeling of sick nausea sitting in the back of her throat. It was hot, as well. She was sweating yet shivering at the same time. It felt like there was a fog over the world, each movement moving like molasses. She didn't want to open her eyes, she wanted to sleep.
Unfortunately for her, Asozu was more interested in figuring out what happened. She cracked her eyes open.
Eye."

Summary
There was a time when Zuko truly believed that he would never be happy. When capturing The Avatar and returning home seemed like an impossible feat. When he was adrift on the ocean or starving in the desert or sweeping the floors of a dank tea shop in the slums of Ba Sing Se. When his face was burned by the same hand that used to gently stroke his head and he was banished from his homeland at thirteen. But, after many agonizing years, he learned how to be happy. He let his friends show him the way. At first, the emotion felt almost foreign, and it startled him. He had been living in fear and anger for so long that he knew no other way to be. But slowly, gently, the light filled him up, seeping into his bones and allowing him to become the ruler his uncle always knew he could be, one who ruled with decisive strength and steadfast compassion.

Summary
Defending the Moon Spirit cost Zuko his birthright, branding him and his uncle traitors to the Fire Nation. Determined to survive on his own terms, Zuko’s solitary flight through the Earth Kingdom ended abruptly when Admiral Zhao cornered him near the Gaipan forest.
The prince was pulled from the brink of capture and far worse by Jet and the Freedom Fighters. While Zuko tried to hide behind the identity of a simple refugee named "Lee," his relentless work ethic and surprisingly soft nature for the camp’s youngest members caught Jet’s attention. What started as suspicion soon softened into an unexpected intimacy.
Now, known to Jet as his Firelily, Zuko refuses to choose between the crown and the camp. Driven by a new fire, he intends to reclaim the birthright that discarded him and build a new world alongside the family that finally claimed him.

Summary
"We're going to be alcoholics by the time we're thirty," Sokka sighed.
"You think we'll live to be thirty?" Zuko asked, honestly thrilled. Sokka had pretty good instincts. Perhaps Zuko should reevaluate his long term goals. He could start by having long term goals.
A more likely alternative was that Sokka was just a hopeless optimist. It just went to show, you never truly saw another man until you stood shoulder to shoulder against a fleet of war balloons intent on raining death upon the city you loved.
Zuko was just a normal guy with normal interests. He liked theatre, burglary, crotchety ostrich horses, watching the Blind Bandit crush her opponents in a glorious display of skill and violence... just your standard banished prince things. It wasn't his fault he kept stumbling into rebellions and uncovering long-buried secrets. Fine, maybe freeing the prisoners was on him, but he was completely innocent of all other treason. Zuko was his father's loyal son. He'd never betray his nation.
Or:
Uncle Iroh took a more creative approach to fostering Zuko's appreciation of other cultures. Now it's everyone's Problem. -

Summary
Rubbing his hands over his face, Aang fell against Appa to take comfort in his fluff. “And it’s been a hundred years? That’s- I can’t believe- Wait, then why have you been looking for me, uh, for the Avatar?”
This was a pivotal moment and it needed to be handled with finesse, care, and the truth if there was any hope of Aang agreeing to work with him. Yes, Zuko could do this.
Aang wakes up from the ice and the story starts as we all know it. But instead of a Fire Nation cruiser crashing into Katara and Sokka's village, a small sailing boat lands on their shore. How will Hui the Yangchen Scholar change the coming events?

Summary
Yue’s life is a cold, polished recital. Her parents are the directors, and her destiny, to marry well and bear the next Water Tribe Chief, has always been her role. Yet after an attack on Agna Qel'a, Yue is left stranded in the Fire Nation, aided by a mysterious Southerner named Hama. There, she begins to uncover the true nature of her fate, one that in another life belonged to an airbender named Aang.
A complete series retelling and AU in which Yue is the Avatar. All characters are aged up by four years, and, most importantly, Yue is born without the moon spirit’s intervention, retaining her natural brown hair.

Summary
To Zuko, life is a stage and an important play is taking place in front of him. He believes that it is his destiny to keep the story on track no matter what and ensure everyone gets a happy ending. Things would be so much easier if the characters would stop dying, killing him, and/or ending up in some sort of catastrophic situation. It doesn't really matter, he will reset the stage as many times as it takes until everything is perfect.

Summary
Iroh never meant to tell Ozai about the firebending masters, Ran and Shaw. The blood sport of hunting dragons unnerved him, and he was charged by the Sun Warriors to keep their society, and the dragons, a secret. Iroh obliged.
Ozai never believed his brother really slew the final dragon. He knew a liar when he saw one, and Iroh had never mastered the art of hiding secrets from his younger brother. As a result, the Fire Lord believed a dragon still existed and was ripe for killing.
He decided he would do something about it.
Or rather, that his 13-year-old son would do something about it.
(Aka Ozai suspects the last dragon is still alive and sends Zuko to finish it off.)

Summary
The takeover of Ba Sing Se went splendidly for Azula. She got exactly what she wanted (at least, that's what she told herself) and did what she had been sent to do. She could return home to the Fire Nation as a victorious princess, once again proving her worth as the future Fire Lord.
One can only assume that, if things went well for Azula, then they did not end so well for Team Avatar.
Aang has to find himself a firebending teacher, and he knows time is running out before Ozai wreaks havoc during Sozin's comet. (which includes, but is not limited to, abandoning his daughter for world domination, causing the second genocide but it's Earth Kingdom edition, and overall being the jerk everyone knows he is)
Will Aang find a teacher?
Oh, yes he will.
He just has to keep his options open.
(aka Azula questions her life choices, Katara thinks bloodbending can be good, and everything descends into chaos for a while)
