Oliver held some traditional beliefs (because of his parents) but didn’t really attack anyone because of that and actually was accepting of that instead he continuously criticized himself for liking percy. Oliver envisioned a life with a wife and children. That was the “Perfect life” for him, the lines were blur if it was really what he wanted or just what he wanted to prove to his parents.
