It had easily become second nature to her over time. Lumine knew that no matter what happened, no matter where she traveled or what she was called in different regions of the continent, she would always be welcomed to Mondstadt city with open arms, their most trusted Honorary Knight.
So when she crested the peak of the Brightcrown Mountains just past the ruins of old Mondstadt and was met with the perfumed scent of flowers mixing with a breeze off the sea, she smiled.

Synopsis:
Aurora was a very efficient vampire hunter until she met Sylvestre, the one vampire she couldn’t catch. After years of cat-and-mouse, they fell in love. When they were found out by her association, she was court-marshalled and then executed. Once she entered the underworld, her soul was deemed worthy, and she became a grim reaper, losing all of her memories, but retaining her likeness, wit, and skillset. In a fit of rage after her death, Sylvestre slaughtered all of those who aided in her execution. He sulked, killing more frequently and feasting more cruelly. Normally, he would dispose of his victims before they were fully dead – he never liked to face the reapers, which he could see. Until one day, when he lingered too long and saw 5012 – and the new reapers he was training, one of whom was her (0213). Now he kills as many as possible to just see her once more – all while figuring out how to claw his way down to the underworld. -

Etho swallowed thickly and stepped backwards, blindly following the feeling that tugged at his core until his back was pressed against Joel’s. Each point of contact felt like static shocks, the air around them seemed to hum with that same electricity.
Joel scanned their surroundings, seeing more mobs making their way through the woods towards them. He made a low noise of displeasure, not needing to ask Etho to know it looked similar on his side.
For a moment, they just stood there, taking in the monsters around them with their shoulder blades digging into one another. The press of their bodies acted as a grounding point, a buzz of connection that sharpened their senses. Joel took a deep breath, feeling Etho’s lungs expand at the same moment.
