This whole thing was probably a bad idea. Probably a really bad idea. It was a hard sell. The higher ups raised eyebrows before they could finish with their proposal. Even those enthusiastic about the Phoenix program showed some hesitancy. The program barely worked as is. The “villains” they had repackaged into heroes were barely holding on. To pull a villain off of death row, it all seemed a little…stupid.
If it wasn’t for Track Star, the only remaining member left alive from Brave Brigade, the proposition would’ve been flushed and treated like nothing more than a fever dream. After all, the villain he was advocating for had taken down Track Star’s team one by one. Hunting them down like a feral dog until the Brave Brigade wasn’t enough for him anymore. So many heroes were lost, and everyone was ready to turn a blind eye to his death penalty.
The conditions came quick, but they had agreed.
There was to be no more Mecha Man, and Robert Robertson would not be allowed out in the field. Instead he would work as a dispatcher.

In Henford, 300 years prior to the modern day, the witch-hunts raged in the land and the surrounding areas, figureheaded by domineering Tartosan noble Lord Eduardo Volpe. Divided tells the story of those who fought both for and against the witch-hunts and, eventually, the creation of the Magic Realm and the establishment of the first Sages. It is a story of division, unity, family and friendship, the complications of fighting for one's freedom and how allyship can sometimes come from surprising places.
The history takes inspiration from the periods between the 1600s-1800s but it is not intended to be historically accurate to the real world. It also takes inspiration from fantasy tabletop RPG's as well as from Dragon Age and Final Fantasy. Features premade Tess Dyer under a different name and Lord Volpe from Sims lore. Based on Sims lore but a lot of the lore is my own inspired from multiple different sources. Romance included but the focus is on friendship and family.
