Lord-the-Captain Dervorin is assisting them with their project when his ‘good friend’ Sir Herdestir stops by to say farewell before he leaves on a patrol. Herdestir gets more than he bargained for when both Faramir and Legolas take this as an opportunity to ask him questions he wasn’t expecting.
Afterward, Faramir, who once received a comprehensive ‘sex talk’ from his worldly elder brother, graciously offers that he and Legolas can excuse themselves so that Dervorin and Herdestir can ‘say a proper goodbye.’ Legolas, meanwhile, has no idea what in the world Faramir is talking about.
