Macaque’s tongue angrily twisted in his mouth. He couldn’t hide the pained look on his face no matter how hard he tried. Now that their feelings for each other were out in the open, the idea of just being friends made him feel sick to his stomach. His bitter tone sharpens his next words, “Do friends kiss friends?”
Wukong’s tail continued to swish; he felt as if he’d just been backed into a corner. His eyes met with Macaque’s prying gaze, “Well, some fr—“ He’s cut off by the tips Macaque’s fingers being pressed against his lips. The sensation caused his breath to hitch, a reaction that is not lost to Macaque. He was struggling to find a more appropriate argument. “I’m just trying to be realistic.”
Macaque can’t stop himself from desperately moving closer to Wukong, “So am I.”
___Or: Wukong and Macaque desperately want to be together, but suffer tremendously cause they don’t know how to deal with their traumas in a healthy way.

In this alternative universe, Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov grew up both in Canada, on the same street, in the same school and rink, on the same first peewee team.
Ilya Rozanov is the youngest son of Russian General and Diplomat Grigoryevich Rozanov. At five, he’s confused as to why they have to leave Russia, but everyone knows better than to voice an opinion in his house. So he packs his things and hopes Canada doesn’t suck too much and he can play hockey. And maybe his Mama will be happier there. If only that annoying Canadian kid would stop being so...sunshiny.
Shane Hollander is the only son of Canadian David Hollander and Japanese Yuna Hollander, and he speaks both languages fluently. He adores hockey and he adores his country. He loves Wilbrod Street because everyone looks different and speaks different here, so he never stands out and there's always new friends to be made. And he thinks he might also adore the new boy his age that just moved in across the street.
