Summary
The war has ended. Team Sonic defeated Dr. Eggman and Infinite. Mary finally has her memories back and Liam has returned to her side, trying to leave Infinite and the Phantom Ruby behind. For the first time in years, they may finally have the chance to regain the life that was taken from them.
But while old wounds are still healing, new threats begin to emerge. Dr. Eggman is nowhere to be found, new threats and villains suddenly appear, his machines are still moving on their own, and something is lurking beneath the surface.
And when secrets of Mary’s past begin to resurface, she soon realises that the war may have ended… but her story with the Phantom Ruby has not. Because some things refuse to stay buried..

The two men look over at her from where they're still knelt in the grass, the tent standing proudly beside them.
"Uh, yeah. Buck's idea." Eddie answers, a warm timbre to his voice suggesting he was fully on board with this idea.
Buck brightens at being given the credit as he pushes up from his knees. "The store had a sale! We got the two-man on a really good deal." Pulling himself to full height, his eyes roam over the tent in question, he takes a few steps back, his head tilting inquisitively. "I did think it would be bigger though."
Eddie moves to stand beside Buck, planting his hands on his hips as he assesses the tent. Hen opens her mouth to inform them it's going to be a tight squeeze for two adult men and their gear, when Eddie cuts in.
"Ah, I'm sure it will be fine." Eddie's voice is pitched and his facial movements exaggerated in a way that suggests he's absolutely not sure about that.
