Long explanation:
The death games were created by Danganronpa for entertainment but scientists that were aware of the games existence used it as a base for their experimentation. All killing games were simulations. All victims survived, but they still need to be freed from Danganronpa so they don’t end up stuck in the game. Kamimura survives the attempted murder in the third chapter, even though they were extremely injured. At the end of Tetro Pink he is free from the simulation, but he still wants to free others from the killing games and end the existence of the killing games. He infiltrates Dv3 as Kokichi Ouma and creates a persona to avoid suspicion from those controlling the game.The plan is going well until everyone (including the “dead” people) appears in a theater to react to Danganronpa Tetro Pink.

A scream of his name filled his skull. The sheer amount of concern in the voice was almost enough for him to regret yanking the knife across his throat but he couldn’t even feel that regret before his vision went black.

He was grabbing at Simon’s shoulders, trying to hoist him up from the floor. God everything hurt. His chest, his arm, or lack thereof, his head, his mind. The stranger was determined, throwing Simon’s remaining arm over his shoulder, smearing their previously clean suit with blood. The gore seemed reluctant to let him go, sticking to his clothes and hair. He felt the stranger jerk forward and the room spun. He blinked blood out of his eyes and tried to understand what was happening.

You read the instructions on your phone for the umpteenth time, eyes flitting between the screen and the rickety old bus right in front of you. You weren't sure what you had been expecting, but it wasn't this. Glancing over at the bus driver, you see a gruff man with scars and tattoos. He was lounging back with his feet on the dash and scowling like he'd rather be anywhere else. Accidentally making eye contact with the man, you internally flinch as his eyes narrow."Are you just going to stand there?" the man growls.
You swallow the lump in your throat and give a small shake of your head as you take a deep breath and climb the stairs. Almost immediately, the overwhelming stench of tacky car fresheners hits you, and you stifle a cough as you make your way to the back of the bus, sliding into a torn seat and setting your bag onto the stained floor, hoping that you hadn't made some sort of mistake.

Summary
Casualties: Unknown is a deeply depressing, violent game. And I like it. But I also think it's a touch too oppressive, so I balanced it out with this story. I cannot say it will be lore-accurate to the world of Casualties: Unknown, as I dropped its lore into a wider setting of my own. But I'm doing my best to make sure the aspects I am using are, in fact, accurate.
You'll be diving into Operation: Known Casualties, where a squad of Private Military Contractors has the ultimate goal of rescuing as many Expies from the Grey Planet as they can, smuggling them across the galaxy to prove they exist, and seeing the corporation that made them, Gunsaw Macrotech, and those who support them undone. You can expect a lot of tactical combat when it comes up. Comfort for the hurt and justice for the forgotten.
You'll get several POVs between the PMCs and the Expies they save, too, as well as, at least hopefully, semi-accurate medical procedures!
