The fact that he’s late is entirely swept from his mind, focusing instead on how he could have seriously injured this guy with his carelessness. A shameful heat seeps through him, dropping from his head down to pool in his cement laden feet.
The man seems shocked, but he’s able to prop himself up on his knees and shakily rise. “Do people not watch where the hell they’re going anymore?!” It’s a breathless hiss, a quiet flare of anger that doesn’t escalate. Through the black tinted visor, he can’t see it but can feel the up down glare. “Are you okay?”
