Reader is trying to dig herself out of the mess she created. As always she has a plan. It includes returning to her home town. A town she promised her family to never return to. Her being near the violent pack master’s grasp was the one thing her parents swore to prevent. But the fear that was so vivid in her childhood became blurred and buried under her attitude and cockiness. She barely remembers the old stories.
Reader’s troubles with the police started early on. She managed to stay out of jail so far but her luck seems to run out. After a heist on a jeweller the detective investigating her is only one step away from identifying her.
It was these desperate circumstances that forced the young werewolf girl back in to her home town. She needed a place to lay low and her old house would provide just that. It can’t be as bad as everyone told her. After all, she was an adult now and able to protect herself.

Seriously though, with everything he does, he seems to dig himself into an even bigger hole that he can't get out of, and it gets to the point that keeping his job a secret from everyone else is the LEAST of his worries as of right now. On top of all that, he now needs to try and figure out how to process some new... information... he ends up getting about the world he lives in.
Although, just maybe, he can find someone in this town to confide in?
