Summary
He's a teenager, Ace can tell, 'round about sixteen, like him, and he sticks out like a crooked fence post in his expensive blue sweater, pale blond head standing out like a golden beacon above the sea of brown and black. He turns, and Ace's mouth runs drier than the pond in August, when the muddy banks turn grey and crack apart like broken pottery.
He's beautiful. He might be the most beautiful thing Ace has ever seen. Looking at him makes some horrible empty feeling open up in Ace's chest, some bloody, yawning abyss, like his ribs are peeling open to reveal some great black bottomless pit. Ace wants him like he's never wanted anything in his whole life.
At the age of sixteen, a boy named Sabo joins the foster home where Ace grew up; and somehow, for some reason, Ace grieves.

Summary
rumi’s grin widens, and sharp teeth shine back at mira.
“and what's with all the fidgeting? you haven't sat still since we sat on this couch. are you uncomfortable?”
that’s one way of putting it.
“i'm fine,” mira grits out, but her resolve crumbles slowly as rumi inches her way back, sliding her thigh back into place between mira’s overly warm legs. “i’m just tired from our walk.”
or,
when you truly love someone, anything they do has the potential to be sexy. mira realises this and definitely feels normal about it all.
