Happy did not care for picnics (Ants? No thank you), so after coordinating schedules he and May had decided on dinner for Sunday that week. They would come to his place in Manhattan, he would cook for May and Peter (because he was polite, and he discovered that May—couldn’t), and then they would… bond. With boardgames or something. The plan was straight and simple, and essentially foolproof.
Naturally, Tony had to throw a wrench in it.

Thinking about San Francisco made his chest ache in such an indescribable way, he almost wished he had the courage to go back. It would force him to face a lot of his issues. Namely, the fact that he could still see Kon flying around in the bright skies out there.

But he couldn’t impose. He had learned from an early age that taking up space that didn’t need to be filled was worse than most crimes he could commit. "
OR, in which Tim hallucinates Kon after his death, and tries spending some time in Smallville to see if it helps. Then, Kon comes back.

Peter Benjamin Parker has had a very long day and now all he wants to do is curl up in bed in the warm embrace of his boyfriend. And ignore all of his S.H.I.E.L.D responsibilities of course.
Miles Morales, no matter how hard he tried, couldn't sleep without picturing himself failing yet another Spider-Man, which is why he's currently making his way to Peter's house, praying he doesn't get mad at him for checking if he's still alive in the middle of the night.
Or: Peter is spending the night at home with his boyfriend, Johnny Storm, who no one really knows he's dating. Miles, however, is on his way to Peter's house in order to make sure his mentor hasn't been brutally murdered as his nightmare suggested.

Summary
Exactly as the title describes. If I have to suffer, then so does Peter Parker, aka all of my Peter Parker projection fics!! I have a handful of more lighthearted fics on my account, this series is just all my angsty hurt/comfort. This series is still active, but there probably won't be any new additions until the end of my semester. None of the works in this series are connected.
Installments 5, 6, and 9 thru 15 are most heavily based on personal experience. The other fics do draw quite a bit on personal experience as well, but they play a little fast and loose with it.

His head has also been screwing with him lately, lots of "you're a failure", and not a lot of "you're doing your best!". So:

In which Peter is handling his collapsing life just fine as a freshman college student, who is also a vigilante, who is also having problems with life as an enhanced person, and it kind of feels like the world is ending all of the time, and then this "Deadpool" asshat crashes into his life. So yeah. Things are fine. Mostly.

“Hey, kid,” Tony’s voice sounds suspiciously choked up. If Peter didn’t know any better, he might even say it wavered. “Would you mind explaining what this is?”
Peter steps closer, setting his apple juice on the desk Tony is currently situated at before walking over to stand next to him, getting a glance at the paper. For a second, he doesn’t recognize it, but then he sees that one chemical compound that he knows by heart. He feels his stomach drop to the floor, through the floor, through every floor in this tower before settling in bedrock.
He'd forgotten about his old suicide planner, and was stupid enough to leave it in that damn notebook of his.

“No," Spider-Man cuts in, firmly. “No, Deadpool, it was like, after all that. After we fought together for the first time, remember what you said?” He motions with his hands as though he was trying to prompt the right response.
“Oh! That you were so cute and awesome, you could get a free hit on the house— oh.” His white lenses widen with realization, then squint in confusion. “Wait, Spider-Man wants to call in a hit on someone?”

As Parker luck would have it, it's awfully hard for Peter to die. He's tried everything he can think of: hanging, drowning, overdosing, gassing, cutting... He's been blessed with the powers of a spider and the immortality of a goddamn cockroach. In a final, desperate attempt to end his life, he asks Deadpool to put out a hit on a seemingly ordinary civilian: Peter Parker.

Maybe hitting his head was the catalyst to the situation; after all, Dr. Cho never mentioned any psychological effects from the arm injury. Maybe when he hit his head on the way down, or when brick and concrete crushed him like a bug, it shook loose all the bad memories from their designated “do not look at, touch, or think about” section in his mind.
Maybe that's why his mind shoves memory after memory down his throat, relentlessly forcing him to relive a past he'd rather not touch.

In the wake of a severe injury, Peter is forced to put down the mask for a bit, which is fine! Totally fine. He could use a break from vigilanteism. He’s a busy PhD student, you know? But when the reality of what Peter’s seen and done during his run as Spider-Man suddenly starts to catch up to him during that break, it becomes increasingly evident that Peter is not as unaffected by vigilanteism he’d like to believe.
While being relentlessly bullied by life itself, and accidentally becoming the roommate of a certain red-clad mercenary he’s been trying to shake, Peter has to eventually come to terms with the fact that something has to change, soon.
