"Would you… like to enter a relationship with me?” the question came out methodically, as if Bruce had spoken through him. Bruce’s eyebrows pinched together, clearly analysing the implications. Clark had expected a request for clarification: “a partnership for a case- or romantic?”. Except, a look of uncertainty instead washed over his face. His eyes seemed to sparkle in expectation, even if he was the one who being waited on to assent.
“You also felt it?” he merely said, mystified."

Kara's eyes went wide, and she lowered her head to confirm that, indeed, her pants were unbuttoned and her shirt was a mess. She hurriedly fixed both, her cheeks burning red, then shot her girlfriend an embarrassed look.
