Again, my ability to understand Micro fails me.
Like really fails me, second chapter destroyed microfiction dreams.Merlin meets Lance's group of Alpha friends, and find they're all very big on touch.
Well, all it seems, except Arthur.Just simple cuteness, no 18+ content. Tonnes of swearing though, and some insinuations, but no actual sex.
Now with second chapter Arthur's POV
And kissing, because as a commenter rightfully pointed out, no kissing was unacceptable.

Summary
Arthur has never cared about being proper around Merlin because Merlin has never been one to treat him properly. Still, it's rare for Arthur to slip and use his alpha voice, knowing that, even to the beta he believes Merlin to be, it's an overt exertion of power. The few times Arthur has commanded his servant in such a way, he usually orders Merlin to "shut up" or "go away", and Merlin can play it off like he's following Arthur's orders too literally in retaliation, until he's able to find the one alpha that knows about him (thank the Gods for Lancelot!) and convince him to override Arthur's order with his own.
This time he doesn't get the chance.
[Merlin gets stuck in Arthur's chambers without his suppressants or his scent blockers. Things turn out much better than he expects...]

Summary
Merlin is a self sacrificing idiot .Merlin had always been reckless , or as Arthur liked to say ' a self-sacrificing Idiot ', and it was going to catch up to him eventually . You can't go for years ignoring several injuries without some consequence .
Thankfully, since Arthur's coronation and the repeal of the ban on magic, Merlin hasn't had to face it alone anymore, and he has been required by both the Court Physician and The King to take care of his injuries and take rest when he needs it.
That doesn't however, prevent him from still being a Self-sacrificing Idiot.

The bounty hunter froze where he stood, turning slowly as he lowered his arm. The annoyance at being disturbed fell from his face as he saw who had spoken, but with not enough urgency to demonstrate any real shame for his actions.
Arthur would have admonished him instantly had his attention not been drawn to the figure slumped in the chair at the centre of the room.

Arthur has an unreadable expression as his eyes dart over to look at Gwaine, then back at Merlin.
He scoffed and grabbed his own sword before marching onto the field, Merlin watching as he dropped his hands off his waist, rolling his eyes exasperatedly at Arthur’s constant peacocking.
