Summary
Ryland Grace left America shortly before the zombie apocalpyse broke out and made him unable to return. When one day he gets offered to work for a help organisation that finally wants to return and find a cure he is too exited to notice that per his contract he will not work in a cushy laboratory in europe but at the front lines. The only glimpse of light is that he gets reunited with his twin brother Colt who he has not seen in 20 years and who hoped to contact Grace through the Zombie Aid Taskforce.
Then on a mission to collect samples Grace finds a heavily scarred and hurt man at the endge of a sinkhole and decides to rescue him. While trying to do his work as the only present scientist he and the strange man who introduces himself as Simon grow closer, but something ties Simon to the source of the zombie outbreak which Grace notices far to late.
