Summary
When a ceiling collapse leaves Buck injured and bleeding out under Eddie's hands, the confession of his feelings slips out easily and without much thought. Maybe confessing his love to his best friend would be fine, if only the person who remembered what Eddie had said was Buck rather than Hen and Chim. As Buck recovers, he and Eddie navigate sharing space, unspoken (or unremembered) feelings, and the anxiety that comes with being in love with your best friend (and your coworkers knowing about it).

In the years since Eddie first started working with them, Buck has learnt how to deal with a hangry Eddie.
He has a system.
A system that usually involves some form of snack.
Candy bars, Skittles, protein bars, and even the occasional bag of marshmallows are Buck’s go-to snacks when it comes to Eddie.
During a long, drawn-out and exhausting shift, Buck will spend most of it plying Eddie with snacks.

OR Eddie gets hangry when he doesn't eat, Buck always makes sure he has snacks.

“Great,” Other Eddie nods. “Okay.” He taps a finger sharply against Eddie’s chest. “Gay Eddie. Got it? Eddie, gay. You, Eddie — gay.”
Or, Eddie needs to lock the fuck in and kiss Buck. He gets 30 seconds to convince himself to do it.

When Eddie’s chest starts feeling tight and heavy, he thinks nothing of it.
He thinks “seasonal allergies”, “smoke inhalation”, “just a cold”. Besides, the intermittent ache in his chest seems to fade to the background when he is around Christopher and Buck, smiling and laughing with his two favorite boys.
