    Summary

UA has a rule—no quirkless students. It was added years ago, after much hemming and hawing about safety concerns and lessening blame in the inevitable circumstance of death. There's no real reason to remove it, not as the percentage of quirkless people plummets further and further.

Of course, this rule doesn't actually matter to Izuku, because he's got an analysis quirk.

    As far as anyone knows.

The Plan is simple: have a quirk, become a hero, and avoid anyone who could disprove those first two things.

In hindsight, UA isn't a great choice. And that's before the villains.

so good. so so so so good. i cannot reiterate this with enough so's, i cannot emphasize this enough, this is very nearly perfect. oh my god this is amaajgjrgnkewnlaeknm fuck i love this. would recommend listening to fast-paced classical music, such as vivaldi's four seasons (i like the violin concerto version) or palladio: I. allegretto (arr. for strings orchestra). 9.5/10, so so close to perfect, the only gripe i have is that i personally require more parental figures, but honestly, this doesn't even really need it, i'm just being a bitch. love mic in this, love izuku, this is so good. i can't stress that enough, let me repeat myself: this is SO good. not necessarily a copium fic, but mic is fatherly enough that i'm counting it.

unfinished, but beautiful. i nut for time travel, but i nut harder for depressing christmas wartimes. and meeting your dead parents who don't know they're your dead parents, but i feel like saying that i nut for longing for a caring parent who isn't buried would be odd, so that one's separate. the writer's voice is so good that i can ignore the lack of proper paragraphs (not a wall of text, thank god). PLEASE UPDATE PLUTO AND MY LIFE IS YOURS. i will seriously put you in my will and mark myself as an organ donor to you specifically.

    Summary

“So we’ll just blurt out random things?” Mina asked. “Like the fact that I can’t eat sandwiches not cut down the middle?”

Snickers rose from the class as she turned a bright red.

Aizawa sighed. “Not exactly. The quirk is a weird mix between a truth quirk and a prone to suggestion quirk, thanks to the boy's parents. It means you’ll be under the effects of a normal truth quirk, but you also won’t have the ability to keep yourselves from oversharing.”

“So we’ll all be spouting fucking word vomit like Deku?!”

    “Yes, Bakugou. Fucking word vomit.”

    Or

Class 1-A is hit by a very powerful truth quirk, and lots of things come out. Some things are quite harmless - quite the opposite, really - others are quite funny, and some open wounds that never really healed.

for some reason, this sat in my 'mark for later' list for so long, i think i must have clicked it on accident instead of bookmark when i first read it. anyway, very good!! some standard 'absurd thing happens that leads to really dramatic reveal of trauma', except in the context of mha, it's really not that absurd lol. as of writing this, i can't give a concrete rating because i haven't read it in a while and need a memory refresher, but based on vibes, i KNOW it goes hard.

    Summary

“Could I get a name for the order?” Marlene asked.

“Serious,” the man replied. “Like the star,” he clarified, and Remus mentally scratched out 'Serious' and rewrote 'Sirius' in his head.

“The… star?” Marlene asked, her pen hovering over the cup as she hesitated.

“S-I-R-I-U-S,” Remus said. He stocked croissants into the display case, not looking up. “The Dog Star,” he added, “brightest star in the sky, actually. Visible from both hemispheres.” When he looked over, the man– Sirius– seemed surprised, his eyebrows raised as Remus spoke, and when Remus finished, he blinked a few times before smiling lopsidedly.

“Er– yeah,” he breathed a laugh. “That.” There was a baby on his hip. Somehow, it had taken Remus a second glance to notice that.

    ---

Or, Remus works as a barista and Sirius comes in every morning with the world's cutest baby, and man, these two just wrote the book on mutual pining, huh?

not necessarily in line with the description of this collection (in that it lacks the usual 'character with subpar family finds new family in 'FREE FAMILY' box on side of road' characteristics), but i'd say it still has some of that general vibe, and this is very fluffy and sweet... anyway yeah if you're into wolfstar raising baby harry and/or chronically ill muggle remus, i'd definitely recommend! we're getting closer to a 10/10, i'd say this one is probably 9.8/10 if we're being nitpicky!! very good.

    Summary

“Why are you telling me this?” Shōta asks calmly, confused.

There’s a beat of silence over the phone.

“You’re your son’s next of kin,” the social worker says slowly, almost accusingly, “you are the listed father on the boy’s birth certificate and since Midoriya Inko is no longer around to care for her child, sole guardianship is appointed to you as next of kin.”

    And Shōta’s brain stalls.

    His what?

so so so cute, a little sad, but SO cute. very sweet, just standard kidfic stuff. everything you would expect from a fic about erasermic suddenly having a toddler dropped on their heads. 9/10.
