It is based on the Saturday Guardian newspaper's 'Blind Dates' feature where two strangers go for a meal together and report back on their findings.

Summary
What does it feel like to be washed up at twenty four? Charlie Spring could tell you, in fact Charlie could write the book… except that’s the problem… he hasn’t written a thing he would voluntarily share with anyone for over two years.
