“Molting,” E.V. said promptly. “Your body has . . . renewed itself into a more suitable state in accordance with your well-being.”
Peter Parker was no stranger to bodily changes that made him feel like he wanted to crawl out of his own skin. So when he decided to accept his new arachnid mutations rather than trying to suppress them, it was easier than he had expected.
And then it was something extraordinary that changed his life entirely for the better.

Summary
Rya remembered the first time she had met Danny — really met him — after Jack had finally taken his leave. She remembered the fear in his eyes; the silent tears that had slipped down his face that he had been so quick to wipe away. She remembered how nervously he had accepted small kindnesses from her — and how, even now, it was a hard thing for him to do.
It was hard for him to do even things as small as looking her in the eye.
During a hard session with Danny, Rya reflects, and offers him some long-needed comfort.

“I really am sorry,” MJ said, “that I don’t remember.”
“It’s not your fault,” Peter said automatically, “not at all. It’s not not my fault, like I said, but it’s definitely not your fault.”
She nodded, and, still smiling but less sadly, reached back out and rested a tentative hand on his shoulder. He nearly shivered as she smoothed her thumb along the seam of his suit, where red-black nylon met pale, freckled skin.
“I think I like you better, out from behind the curtain,” she said, and if he hadn’t known her so well, he wouldn’t have noticed the fondness in her tone — but he did know her, even if it had been four years, and he did notice, and it made his heart ache.
Peter takes a blow while out on patrol, and stumbles back to his apartment, bleeding and tired, to find MJ waiting at his door.

“How?” He asked in between choking sobs, breaking away to stare at her in disbelief, laying his trembling hands over her shoulders. She looked younger than he remembered, her face softer, her hair fuller; she, too, was neither bloodied nor wounded. “Am I — dead?”
“You don’t sound nearly as concerned about that as you should be, Peter,” May said sadly, cupping his tearful face in her palms and brushing a stray curl away from his forehead. "But no, you're not. You're . . . in between, right now.”
Or: when Peter gets shot, he's inches from death, and reunites with someone that he thought he had lost forever.

Peter fell quiet for a long moment, still quivering slightly. And then, barely a whisper:
"Just . . . hold me?"
MJ said nothing, because she was afraid of how she would sound when she spoke. Instead, she just wrapped herself fully around him, cradling him to her chest and letting him bury his face in her neck as he curled impossibly tighter into himself and into her, letting out a shuddering sigh that she felt rather than heard.
Peter is having a rough day with his sensory issues. MJ is there to offer comfort, even if Peter hesitates to ask for it.

Summary
Unconnected stories of mine, both one-shots and longfics; individual CWs/TWs for each story are in tags and A/N.
Note: for some of these works, you have to be a registered user to access. This is true for most of my works in general; since GO3 just came out, however, I decided to free up most of my GO works for guests as well.
In my opinion, these get progressively better as they progress! The first few I wrote are not my favorite and I much prefer my later longfics and even drabbles. You can find my favorites under the 'Author's Favorite' tag.
Since writing these works, I have left the Good Omens fandom permanently and I will likely not be writing any more for this fandom, I apologize. I hope you are able to enjoy the works I do have! Comments are still very much loved and I will likely respond with thanks to you for reading and liking my work. :) If I do get strokes of inspiration, I will still write and upload whatever my mind comes up with though! So feel free to stay subscribed to this series.
Edit: My heavy dislike for GO3 did in fact bring me back into to write a few fics. Silver lining?

Summary
Peter Parker was a typical fourteen-year-old child in the year 1986. Then he got bitten by a radioactive Spider, and a secret organization called HYDRA found out and kidnapped him, where they kept him in stasis when not using him as a weapon. Forty years later, the Avengers raided a HYDRA base and found a fourteen-year-old kid freezing to death in a concrete cell who was only known as The Winter Spider.
All it took was one look for Tony to decide this pitiful child deserved way more than being looked at like a weapon or asset. In a split second decision, Tony gave Peter the spare room in his apartment, and committed himself to taking care of him. Peter was quiet, and a little creepy, but Tony quickly came to love him with all he had. Now his life goal was to make Peter happy, and get him integrated into everyday life. School was Tony's biggest dream for Peter. It was just going to take some time to get him there.
