Five years have gone by since Finney last saw The Grabber in the flesh, not counting in her dreams or when he makes an appearance as a ghost, or when he pops up in her darkest memories.
Five years since Finney Blake, or as everyone used to know her as, Faith, nearly had her head taken off by The Grabber. The scar still marks her skin, marks her as his for the rest of her life, even though she ended his.
When his ghost disappears and leaves her alone for a few days at a time, Finney is suspicious and relieved simultaneously. She becomes more suspicious when Gwen begins having her dreams again, and brings up a Christian Youth Camp their mother used to work at, insisting that something is going wrong there, and they need to help.
Finney, as her sister’s keeper, obviously has to follow Gwen there.
