Summary
Wemmbu is tired. He doesn't want to be a weapon anymore, he just wants his best friend back. He's so incredibly tired of being nothing more than a weapon of destruction.
Nothing feels like it'll ever get better. Every day spent in Arachnid's kingdom is a redundant cycle of empty promises for Eggchan's safe return, keeping him strung along like an obeying puppet. Some part of Wemmbu, at some point, begins to give up entirely.
One night, however— Jaden finds Wemmbu, and maybe that's all it takes for things to feel just a little more brighter.

Wemmbu is silent for so long he thinks he’s decided to ignore the question entirely. It’s only when Jaden’s put away the first aid kit entirely that he responds.
“You weren’t so bad, when you weren’t trying to kill or rob me. And you knew what would happen if you tried to cross me.” Then, much quieter—”And Rejoice seemed like the forgiving type. Or whatever.”

Summary
Egg goes AFK all of the time—way more than Wemmbu—and it isn't too different to when he isn't AFK. Having a teammate with a giant eyeball for a head gets Wemmbu quite used to the staring.
But when Wemmbu finishes sorting his enderchest and sees Jaden AFK when he turns around, it still looks weird.

Parrot stares pointedly at Wemmbu, who is astutely ignoring the others gaze, animatedly talking to Jaden. Egg snorts quietly where he sits, sharing a glance with Minute.
“Hey,” the Serbian spaz of a twink that Flame’s going to stab one day says, nudging Wemmbu with his elbow, “I think he’s talking to you.”

“It’s not giving up,” Egg puts a hand on Wemmbu’s shoulder, shaking him slightly, his wings fluttering, “It’s realizing that if you don’t draw attention to yourself, the impersonater is more likely to just give up. Go to Jaden.”
Wemmbu opens his mouth to argue, raising his hands to wave them wildly, but catches sight of his invisibility countdown turning red. The entire reason he had decided to go full invis was because he just wanted to start over.
Egg’s eye softens, “Do it for me?”
Wemmbu, if anything, has always been weak for Eggchan.

Summary
There’s a specific frequency only animals can hear. So high pitched and sharp it’d make them writhe in pain. Dogs especially are sensitive to the noise. Whining aloud and desperately trying to cover their ears to make it stop. Crudelly mimicked by dog whistles to keep them in check.
But there’s an interesting thing most don’t know. Even if you can’t hear it, people are also affected by it. Maybe at best a phantom headache if it’s not too strong. Or at worse, death from internal organs rupturing from the vibrations.
And there’s a special tune in between. When done just right. Activates the neurons just so. Enough to make your brain act on impulse. Heightened by the pain it can’t understand and whiting out reason. Delegating function to subconscious actions rather than conscious ones. Making it more susceptible. More pliable.
Lettuce finds that frequency. And makes his very own dog whistle. Meant for just one person.
