Eliot licked his lips, ignoring the faint taste of blood, and tried again.

Matt is pretty sure he’s been getting phone calls from the FBI. That’s what his Caller ID keeps telling him, and he keeps hearing it, pursing his lips and frowning, and then decidedly not picking up. He probably should. Definitely should, even. But he doesn’t even know if it’s real.
Besides, if it’s important enough, someone’s bound to visit him in person. The FBI doesn’t need to be calling him, whether it’s about a case (maybe Fisk-related, if anything) or something else. They’d have more interest in Daredevil than Matt Murdock most likely, and he’d rather keep those separate from each other. Not likely the calls are related to that, anyway.

A ragged gasp drew itself from Merlin’s lips as the true source of his fear made itself known. One reveal of his magic, one slip up, and he could so easily be the next person executed on the pyre. And that terrified him.
His eyes burst open in an attempt to rid himself of the image and the surprise of Arthur still kneeling in front of him instinctively sent him scrabbling backwards along the tiles, his shirt getting yanked from the prince’s grip. Arthur’s hands shot up to placate him, but it did little to stop his still heaving chest and racing mind.

Sometimes Charlie just knows it’s going to be one of those days before he even gets out of bed.
There’s a voice that sits deep in his gut that tells him, nope, today is just not going to work at all. In this head, he’s taken to calling it a no food day. A day where food is the enemy and just the thought of eating puts him in a spiral he barely gets out of. He wants, more than anything, to stay cocooned in his covers, never leaving the sanctuary of his bed, his room, where he stays in control of everything.
But that means he doesn’t get to see Nick at school, and his parents probably wouldn’t let Nick come over if they think he’s sick.
