Shuriken was in a bit of a pickle.
You see, after a particularly long shift dealing with hordes and hordes of customers, who just couldn't understand that the cafe had run out of blueberries and therefore they could not make anymore blueberry cheesecakes, Shuriken had returned home in a state which could be described as zombie-like, aimlessly ambling through the streets of Crossroads, and occasionally walking into steel lampposts.
But, when he finally clambered up the towering mountains that were stairs, and as he fumbled in his pockets, Shuriken made a terrible discovery. His keys, usually sitting comfortably in his left pocket, were gone.
