Luz doesn't have a bile sac so she has to use the glyphs to conduct magic. Hunter doesn't have a bile sac so he has to use an artificial staff to conduct magic. So it is incredibly alarming when Hunter uses a glyph after she was so careful to keep them out of his view. And if she didn't show it to him, then the Titan chose to. Luz can't help but wonder; Why would the Titan show a loyal member of the Emperor's coven, the right hand man of Emperor Belos and the Golden Guard of all people, how to use a glyph? And maybe, just maybe, she's a little jealous, a little bitter. This was supposed to be hers.

When the Golden Guard pretends to be a student at Hexside and asks you to join the Emperor’s Coven, you assume he’s joking and agree to join. When you find out the truth, will your efforts to escape be thwarted, or will you return to the safety of Hexside with the rest of your flyer derby team? The mystery of why the emperor would hold on to a sigiless maverick of a witch years away from graduation perplexes the Golden Guard. As the two of you dig deeper, you discover secrets that were buried long ago. Will your rebellious attitude push him to break his chains, or will he find himself unable to pick up the pieces of his shattered past? Is it still possible for him to learn what it's like to be a normal teenager?
The first two chapters take place during episode thirteen of season two but after that, the chapters will occur between the episodes instead of directly following the storyline of the show.

As Ed took a step towards the tree, he felt like he was being watched. He turned around and saw a flash of blond hair hid behind a tree. He took a step towards the tree, peering around it.
A kid. That was Ed’s first thought as he took in the blond-haired kid in the armor(?) and cloak.
His second thought as the kid noticed him and began to run away was that the kid had bright red eyes and pointy ears. Ed stood there for a moment as he stared after the kid, tilting his head.

Hunter Noceda had fuzzy memories regarding when he first met Camila and Manny. All he remembered was feeling scared, running through a door and being confused when he looked back and saw an old house, and the feeling of cold rain showering down upon him.
And he didn't know why he had a tendency to subconsciously head back to that old house.
So when one day he decides to open the door and see what was so special about this old house to him, he discovered another world behind it.
...And then a small, flying owl knocked into him, carrying a bag of trash, pushing him inside.

Fast forward 6 years and the Day of Unity has been stopped, and the government is being rebuilt. Belos is dead, the collector is lost and Hunter... well... Hunter is back from the dead and ready for revenge. And he might not be alone.(In this fic, the CATT's were successful and sabotaged the Day of Unity and Belos was killed. The rest of season 1 and 2 happened normally except Hunter wasn't there. Season 3 didn't happen because the collector was gone before anyone saw him. So this is almost a ear after the Day of Unity, so Luz is about 15)
