i am. Unwell. this fic hurt and healed me. i will never forget the way i reached the ending, sobbing my guts out, and then immediately saw the art that inspired this and then sobbing even harder. it's just the cherry on top. it hurts SO GOOD. the art is beautiful as a standalone but together? in beautiful terrifying conjunction? it's over for me. what a tender, lovely and hopeful piece of devastating art and a genuinely heartfelt view of the afterlife even if it might be cm's brain going through some kind of extended vision as he copes with his encroaching death. i will Never Recover :)
