“Oh, great, great fun,” Tony says and swipes away from the article about Spider-Man wrestling a giant spider on the roof of the Chrysler building.
It’s quite obvious that Tony knows he is Spider-Man, but decided not to acknowledge it; decided to keep the secret going. For what reason, Peter doesn’t know. Maybe Tony thinks he can use the information in his favor, or maybe he just doesn’t want Peter to freak out. Either way, it serves Peter just fine, because Tony tries so hard to keep up his oblivious act that he never prods too hard or looks too deep.
Which means all of Peter’s far bigger secrets are still safe. -

Also titled: Jason loves Danny but really, why is he dancing on the Red Hoods last nerve?
It comes out of left field, as so much about Danny does. Whether it's a normal conversation that suddenly turns into a story about that one time in ancient Greece when he built a functional lazer gun to see if he could and accidentally had an entire city's population believing he was Zeus or when he was banned from the kitchen for reanimating a chicken into a foul-mouthed gunslinger, Danny always manages to surprise him.
So when Jason hears that awkward laugh that means something has happened to remind Danny of something objectively awful, Jason knows he should be prepared for ... well, something objectively awful.
"This is freakin delicious, dude. Where'd you say you got it?"

"Crap!" the food truck worker shrieks in alarm. "Don't hurt him, Superman, he's just a kid!"
Clark . . . pauses, then looks up from the kid that he is currently pinning into the street as said kid struggles underneath him.
"'Hurt him'?" he asks in reflexive confusion, and then realizes how batting a teenager around like a person-shaped cat toy and pinning him to the street hard enough to crack it probably actually looks to an outside observer.
. . . um.
Whoops.
"Um," he starts awkwardly, and then the kid slips his pin while he's distracted and throws his arms around his neck with a gleeful laugh and a bright grin.
"Dad!" he crows triumphantly, and hugs Clark harder than literally anyone has ever hugged him before.

Cody’s routine inspections as a Safety Officer for the Occupational Spells and Hexes Administration have been increasingly disrupted by the presence of a man called Ben. He's being completely normal about it.
“Absolutely not.” Cody said, despairingly, thinking of the paperwork this would entail. He then guiltily checked behind him to see if he had been followed, and let himself into the office more fully.
“Safety Officer Fett,” the menace greeted. “I heard there was an inspection today, I had hoped it would be you.” He was clearly on an infiltration, dressed in the business casual style favoured by the middle management mages of today’s company, Henderson Magyk Solutions. Cody eyed the satchel likely brimming with stolen evidence, and sighed.
“You are the most complicated part of my job,” Cody informed him mournfully, making a note on his report.

When the latent basilisk venom and phoenix tears in his blood started making dramatic changes to his body, he wasn’t that concerned. Even if he had planned to live past the final battle, then he could never have guessed the struggle awaiting him on the other side, or that he’d become a magnet for those with nowhere else to go like the snarky house elf, the grumpy phoenix, the injured vampire, or the stray werewolf that showed up on their doorstep…oh, and the egg. You can’t forget the egg; that’s the most important, more than anyone or anything else on the planet. Harry will do whatever it takes…literally whatever, even light the fire and watch the world burn, all for the sake of the egg.
