He’s not in Cokeworth proper, instead residing somewhere in the more rural part of the area. He’s surrounded by rolling hills that are covered in old trees and weeds, thriving in greens despite the heat smoking out the tail end of July to drive out August.
Percy thinks that the heat is an omen. Maybe he’s about to be driven out of Ottery the moment he sets foot there; like a fox deliberately smoked out of his burrow.
