They could just do this, it felt like an apology in itself. Acknowledging the other person just by being there, saying sorry with a hug rather than words. It felt right, not as daunting and scary as a big “I’m sorry” but still as true and honest.”
OR
Darry and Pony had their fair share of fights even before their parents death, and apologies never really came easy. For some reason though, it always seemed easier this way.

He couldn't stand the blank masks of the Watchers, faces permanently obscured by the disks that they had sealed over their features. Couldn't stand the chill of the room against his bare skin, only chased away by his blood, boiling hot in comparison.
His heart was pounding now, faster and faster, tears leaking out of his eyes, wasting water he couldn't lose. He needed to calm down, breathe, stop panicking. He would only lose more blood.

He's going to die. There's no way that his team will find him before he bleeds out.

The Watchers would probably go after Grian next. Even if they raised him, they still wouldn't treat him with mercy. They would find another chosen one.

Chan kissed him deep, hands keeping him pressed into the mattress as Minho moaned into the kiss.
Chan finally broke the kiss, pulling back with spit webbing their lips together, just enough to gaze down at Minho’s flushed, desperate face. His thumb pressed harder against Minho’s hipbone, a silent demand. “Now,” Chan murmured, his voice a low thrum of pure command, “let me show you how thoroughly you belong to me.”
