He’d stopped following them a long time ago; it was too much for him, a reminder of everything he’d never be able to become. The void opened and swallowed him whole but before that he was able to hear her scream. It was raw and painful from deep in her chest. Her warm Seidr was trying to reach him but the void was cruel and there was nothing she could do.
So he was falling again (he didn't want to come out either) and then he heard like a beast's roar, unrestrained and powerful but terribly hurt and desperate (Flesh and blood. Laufeyson) And the last agony his heart experienced was the absence of a third lament.

“Seriously, Raph?” said Donnie irritably. “Move out of the way. There’s no way Leo’s going to let you do this, so just give up already and let us watch TV in peace—”
