Victory did not fix Harry Potter.
One year after Voldemort’s defeat, Hogwarts reopens for the adult students who survived the war but never finished school.
McGonagall calls them the New Founders: former sixth- and seventh-years brought back to rebuild the castle, repair its wards, complete their education, and decide what Hogwarts should become after occupation, battle, and death.
Harry returns hollow, famous, and freshly alone after the collapse of his relationship with Ginny. Everyone wants him to be a symbol of the future. Harry can barely imagine having one.
Then, in a ruined wing of the castle, Harry uncovers magic that was hidden for a reason.
It is older than Voldemort, stranger than the Dark Arts, and buried beneath Hogwarts with doors that should have stayed closed.
Harry has every reason to study it.
Because the magic gives Harry something peace never could.
Purpose.
Hogwarts is being rebuilt while Harry is being unmade.

Wei Wuxian had it good, for early in his teenage years he discovered a surefire way to "cheat" the system. By convincing everyone around him that he was an omega, he had a built in excuse to hide in seclusion for four or five days at a time and avoid whatever annoyances life had thrown his way. The ruse backfired when Madam Yu grew suspicious, and no one suspected a thing when he actually presented. Karma came for him, and in no subtle way.
A trip to the palace where his sister was supposed to be presented to the Emperor for selection as concubine goes horribly awry when Wei Wuxian ends up in the alpha's bed instead. And things get worse when he's accused of a ruse to steal the Emperor's seed to birth the future crown prince.
All Wei Wuxian wants to do is go back to his idyllic life in Lotus Pier, but extraneous circumstances keep him bound there against his will. And, unwittingly enough, his presence has caused quite the disruption for the small faction of saboteurs who wish to regain the crown for their clan.

Leia always told Han that Anakin Skywalker might be the greatest hero in the galaxy, but Bail Organa was without a doubt the greatest man. So when Padmé whisks him away to Alderaan for a special banquet, Han only wants to make a good impression on Bail, who is practically a second father to Leia.
Then a crisis breaks out at the palace and Han finds himself impersonating a fake nobleman to help save Bail's life. This makes for a pretty complicated first meeting with the senator who may very well become the next Chancellor of the Republic…provided Bail survives to see the next election.
