“Are you going to stop me?” Hitoshi asks when the silence goes on for a little too long.
“Do you want me to?” Aizawa's eye contact burns and Hitoshi's shoulders hunch. He can't help feeling ashamed, like he's disappointed the only person whose opinion has ever mattered to him.
“Since when has what I wanted mattered?” Hitoshi retorts bitterly, recalling the blank expression, not too dissimilar to the current one, on Aizawa's face as Hitoshi's life was uprooted and shattered against the wall. There was sympathy in the man's eyes; sympathy that, evidently, didn't move him enough to stop the social worker from spending hours violating every inch of Hitoshi's privacy and autonomy.
Aizawa’s frown deepens. “It matters now.”

Aizawa-sensei is talking about something important for sure, something about Hitoshi’s progress that he’s not listening to, but he can read between the lines. Not a single touch means he wants Hitoshi to make the first move. Tachikawa likes that sometimes, has Hitoshi play like he can’t resist his ‘wiles’ and wants him ‘so, so bad’, and when he doesn’t, Tachikawa beats him before he fucks him. He didn’t think Sensei would be the type to be into that too, but whatever. His legs shake a bit under the weight of his decision- if you can even call it that. Hitoshi falls to his knees and shuffles a bit closer to Sensei, because there’s no room for shame.

“Okay.” Jabber nodded, trying to unravel his own panic calmly to not startle Zanka who was.. in some state, he didn’t know. How coherent was he? Was he in a childlike space? Or maybe he was in that floaty state, or- or maybe he was panicking but couldn’t show it because of his incapacity to move.
“M’gonna wash you up, ‘kay Z? You’re covered in puke, ‘s a fuckin’ mess, really.” Then, because he should probably make sure, “Anything hurts?”
Zanka weakly whimpered, something that sounded so effortless with how empty and barely-there it was, yet he looked as if it took all the energy he had left.
“Yeah, I bet.”

Summary
Getting Enjin to open up about his past was like getting an alley dog to unlock its jaw for the purpose of surrendering a scrap of food: wholly impossible, with the strong probability of getting mauled for your troubles.
Gris has been able to chip away bits and pieces over the years, stories of an orphaned kid juggling three jobs at a time, rescued from something horrid by a stranger. Enjin refused to give up much else, leading the detective work on Gris. So he put together the puzzle pieces on his own, rough guesses that made his stomach nauseous and his mind hoping he wasn't right.
And now they were teetering on that edge. Where his suspicions were about to be confirmed. His stomach lurched, blinking away the wetness in his eyes.
Taking a deep breath, Gris prepares himself to fall.

Tim should be excited, right?
He had asked for this, spent weeks hoping it would work out. Tim wanted this. Wanted to move in with the Waynes, wanted desperately to not be so alone anymore.
And yet, for some reason, he didn't feel better. It was as though he'd been set adrift, none of the anchors of his old life left to cling to. No rocks, no routines. And even though everything at Wayne Manor was better, it was so very different.
Or: When you're autistic, even the best changes can still be overwhelming. The Manor comes with more interaction, with more noise, with more life and Tim doesn't know how to handle it. Things come to a head with the first meltdown Tim's had outside of his carefully constructed hiding place.
The biggest change of all is that now there are people to catch Tim when he's falling.

Everyone else had gone home a couple minutes ago, leaving behind the scent of coffee and the faint rustle of papers. The low hum of the city drifted in through half-closed blinds, casting bars of fading sunlight across the desks. Dazai lounged back in his chair, listless and quiet, eyes tracking the dust motes in the golden light. Ranpo sat at his desk, motionless, save for the flick of his wrist as he tossed an empty lollipop stick into the trash. It hit the edge with a soft clink and fell in.
Silence settled between them like fog—dense and waiting, as if something unspoken lingered in the air, thick enough to choke on.
“I used to be a big hugger, you know.”
Dazai pauses. He doesn't blink, doesn't respond, no snarky comments. For the first time he listens.

All of these great things had happened without Bokuto knowing about his past. And so, there was no reason for him to find out now, when Akaashi was 21 and they had already been together for four years.
Akaashi Keiji and Bokuto Koutarou were absolutely, one hundred percent, overwhelmingly assuredly fine.
