Earth is in shambles, and humanity is scrambling to find sustainable planets to colonize. Luckily, they’ve found a few.
Lance McClain is a cargo pilot heading to one such planet.
On the way, he spots something strange floating in space—a wormhole. A real, honest-to-god wormhole. It could be his ticket to fame and fortune! His chance to get his family off dust-bowl Earth and onto Altea, the wondrous new planet humanity has its sights set on.
Unfortunately, Lance gets sucked into the wormhole instead. His ship gets utterly fucked. There are no communications. He’s stranded on an expansive, unknown planet, and must survive and figure out how to get home.
At first, it seems like the planet’s wealth of resources might be exactly what his family needs for a better life. But when Lance discovers there’s an entire alien civilization living there—and finds himself forming a tentative bond with a curious (and pretty) alien—he realizes the right choice might not be so clear after all.

Now with a full-blown investigation underway, Lance’s own issues revolving around his family, both Keith and Lance come to an agreement. Being roommates in exchange for pretending they're in a fake relationship. At least—until things die down. You know, like imposters. But in real life.

Fucking Keith was a lot like fighting with him, Lance found, and since they’d been having sex, their arguments were basically reduced to zero. They were on the same page more now than ever before. It made leading the team so much easier because when they did have a disagreement, they weren’t arguing about it in front of everyone else.
