Summary
He and Six spar for a while with the tonkas. Rex is clumsy with it, more used to his builds, and when Six doesn't press forward after he disarms Rex he knows the conversation is coming.
"Rex," Six begins stiffly, "living without a dynamic isn't so bad. People can't judge you for something you have no control over. You're not a slave to your biological functions. Speculation occasionally works in your favor." He speaks like he's reading off a mental list.
Rex huffs. "You have a dynamic though. Hiding it is different than being an EVO freak."

Summary
Dr. Holiday isn't the only Omega who works at Providence, but she's the only one in a position of power besides Six. He's not quite sure how to handle her when he first meets her - he had his first heat six years late in the middle of the Hida Mountains and had spent most of his life hating Omegas. He was taught to, raised to despise the 'whores who brought down nations' like Dos had always called them, to detest the men and women who would throw themselves at Five when she pumped pheromones into a greasy pub to score a one-night stand. He had been of the general assumption that Omegas were weak, deceptive- honey pots. Even now, as an Omega himself, it was still hard to change that assumption. They say to rebuild the house, you must rip out its foundations, and Six did not yet have the tools to rebuild.

Summary
Rex Salazar, now 19, wants one thing: the normal life he lost. Ever since his parents vanished and his brother César was taken by Providence, he’s been alone, except for the nanites in his bloodstream that twist into living machines whenever he’s threatened. Jazz has a few problems. Problem one, the Autobots are being poisoned. Two, figuring out who’s behind it and stopping them is proving harder than anyone expected. Three, he’s found a fix for both of those but it depends on Soundwave, the most loyal Decepticon in the whole army, helping him.
And if there isn’t a good reason for Soundwave to cooperate with him? Well, Jazz will just have to make one.
“An easy course and following winds,” Jazz says to the two aliens first, because the possibility of imminent violence is no excuse to violate social niceties with these guys. And then just for Soundwave, he says in English, “You know these guys are planning to screw you over, right?”
He steps lightly into the room, moving so casually you’d never know it puts him in point blank shooting distance of a sworn enemy.
“Hold your fire for just a sec,” he continues, baiting the hook, “and I’ll prove it.”

“Are they now?” Jazz questioned, helm tilted to the side as he removed his hands from the telepath’s frame and considered them with a pout. “Well, color me surprised. And here I thought my systems were already running extra hot for you,” he said cheerfully.
