Summary
Bucky's work trip to Taylor, Texas lines up with Steve's August recess. They drive west. Sam and Torres meet them in Austin. Eventually they reach Big Bend National Park, where the border is just geology and the night sky is genuinely dark and something looks at them from a distance and decides to move on.
A road trip. A chapel. A film they couldn't have seen together in any decade they actually lived through. Some things that don't explain themselves.
A soft sequel to Soft Landing. Canon divergeance, everything is taking place post-Endgame.

Summary
The Winter Soldier was about to shoot someone through a rose window, the shot was lined up perfectly.
Then a woman in a pink cowgirl hat appears behind him and bends his rifle in half.
She's not SHIELD. She's not HYDRA. She's annoyed that he keeps showing up at her work—first a cathedral, now a fae wedding where she's negotiating a contract. Her solution to the interference problem is deeply unorthodox: deprogram him with fairy wine while the maid of honor gives her speech.
It works. He remembers everything.
Now Bucky Barnes is standing in Avengers Tower with seventy years of memories, a cosmic diplomat who won't stop checking on him, and absolutely no idea what to do with any of it.
