Summary
"People with somniphobia may worry or obsess throughout the day about how they can avoid sleep. They may be afraid of what happens when they do fall asleep"
For years now Grace and Agnes had a routine. Agnes like all old ladies back on earth, loved her routine and loved to stick to it. Always she would come over with something to show him a gift or general show and tell, and then they would talk for some time usually a few hours, before he would go to bed and she would watch.
So when she came over as always to watch him sleep but forgot to bring anything, and rushed their usual chat, only to wake him up in the middle of the night; he knew something was off.

Summary
“Grace leak from eyes,” Rocky leaned closer, emitting a soft, rhythmic purr that echoed concern. “Heart beat fast. Bad, bad, bad. Grace okay, question?”
And Grace didn’t want to say anything. Wasn’t planning to. It was shameful. It was cowardly. It was pathetic. But—
But—
“I didn’t want to go, Rocky,” Grace wheezed out, the words spilling, tearing from his throat, jagged and bloody and ripping at the seams, and it hurt— “I didn’t volunteer. I-I didn’t want to be a hero.”

Summary
It’s been nearly 27 years since Eva Stratt forced Ryland Grace to board the Hail Mary and sent him off to his death for the greater good of mankind. Meanwhile, Eva and the Project Hail Mary team have been fighting a losing battle against the cooling sun—and their own demons—trying to make sure there were still people to be saved by the time the crew could send a solution home. Right on schedule, the beetles are returning to Earth, hopefully with the answer to saving the world. But Eva has something else to worry about; there’s every possibility Ryland Grace’s last words would be coming home, and all the time in the world couldn’t make her ready to face the consequences of her actions, or what will happen when her colleagues find out what she did to their friend.
It was time to find out if it was worth it for her to sacrifice Grace, and her soul, to save humanity. And to find out if she was ready to face him after all these years… -

Summary
After a chance encounter with a helpful household, Meg Griffin is shocked to be offered a job at their restaurant. It was strange, and a little shady, and even after being left with these people for an entire day she had no idea what to make of them, but if it meant getting to spend a full summer away from her family then she was willing to take the risk. She never would have been able to expect just how much this one decision would change her world, nor could she have anticipated how much she would be able to learn about herself when given the opportunity.
In ten weeks time she'll have to go back to the hell known as Quahog, and she might not be able to return. But in the meantime, perhaps it'll be okay for her to treat herself with a little more care. Just a little.
