They are no longer a part of Heaven and Hell anymore, so he wanted to see him more often.
A customer of his tells him to try the activity called ‘Netflix and Chill’ with his friend. He thinks this is a great excuse.
The only thing wrong with it is that him and Crowley have different ideas of what that activity really is.

Excerpt:
“Whatever is the matter with you, dear boy?”
“Don’t know what you mean.” Crowley didn’t even pause his scrolling past text entry after text entry he didn’t take in.
“Something is clearly bothering you.”
“Nope,” the demon said, voice low and gravelly. “Everything’s just fine.”
“Everything should be fine, yes. We had a lovely morning, a wonderful day, and a nice lunch. You didn’t have a paper to read at the café” - Was that a low growl coming from Crowley? - “so human politics can’t be the issue. And you would enjoy griping about that in any case. There was even that poor fellow who got fined for a parking violation just outside the café because he followed your example.” At this, at least, Crowley snorted, but it sounded a bit half-hearted to Aziraphale.
“Which is why I told you everything’s fine. So. Drop. It.”

His eyes were drawn back to the strange angel for a moment. They seemed a bit lost. Which was also strange. And they seemed oddly familiar, though he couldn’t quite name them. But his missives were slipping again, so Aziraphale looked down and tried to shift the whole mess in his arms as he walked on towards the main entrance and closer to that strange angel.
“Now if I were a bunch of files on Suffolk, where would I be hiding…” he heard an incredibly familiar, raspy voice as he walked behind that odd angel.
‘No, no… It can’t be–’ Aziraphale thought as his head whipped around. This time the missives did fall, but he hardly noticed.

Aziraphale's little trip to the Italian Alban Hills could have gone much better. Not only is his research into an ancient fertility cult in danger of being hijacked by his obnoxious superior, he also got a 'colleague' foisted upon him. And not just any, no, it had to be Crowley.
Crowley is equally eager to dig into the past and recent biome of the Italian hillside as he is to get under Fell's skin. But no matter how intriguing the prickly archaeologist is, Crowley will not allow for his work to be disregarded.
Neither of them expected their interdisciplinary studies to end up being quite that hands on.
