Buck has a problem.
He knows it shouldn't be a problem. Knows he should be grateful. He's never had anything like this before. Never felt so secure in his life. Work is good, home is good, friends are good, family's good, and his boyfriend... well, he's really good.
Buck is in love, like really and truly in love, for the first time ever. Yes, he's said it before, and maybe he meant it, but not like this. He's never had this much stability, and care, and comfort, and security. Buck doesn't just love Tommy, he feels loved by Tommy. Since the moment the words I love you slipped out of Tommy's mouth, there has never been a doubt in his mind that Tommy means it. And he knows that Tommy feels the same way about him too.
But none of that is the problem.
The problem is he's not the only one who loves Tommy.
All of his coworkers love Tommy.
A lot.

Summary
With Gerrard gone, Tommy decides to stay with the 118 - Captain Nash seems nice, and he wants to really repair his relationships with Hen and Chim. He's doing his best to live the life of an out and (almost) proud queer man when he meets him. On scene, of all things - with a live grenade, an ambulance, and a cute, badass Navy SEAL barging in to save their asses.
Tommy is immediately interested. It helps that Evan seems tooor tommy never leaves 118, buck actually makes it as a seal and they meet when a man gets a live grenade stuck in his leg. it evolves from there (and ends with lots of cringe flirting and some kisses)

Buck couldn’t stop smiling at Tommy.
Tommy was just.
Hot.
And nice.
And he showed up. Always.
Fuck.
Buck loved this guy.
“What?” asked Tommy, and there was a hint of a smile there.
“Nothing. I just like you driving me,” said Buck.
And Buck could see that Tommy couldn’t help it, he smiled too; not quite the scrunchy kind, but that dimpled one he did.
The morning was young.
Buck could get his man to that scrunch nose smile.
“Oh, you like a chauffeur?” asked Tommy playfully.
“Only one as hot as you.”
And there was the scrunch.
“I only drive the hottest myself.”

Chris seems to be looking anywhere but into the camera; he won’t look at Buck, not even over the phone. He lets out a big sigh, and with a twitch of his nose, mumbles something that sounds an awful lot like, “I’m sorry.”
Whatever Buck had been expecting, it wasn’t that.
“For what, buddy?”
“For not calling you.”
Even in context, it wouldn’t make much sense to anyone else, given that they’re currently on a FaceTime call Chris initiated. But Buck knows damn well that the kid doesn’t mean this call.

Being left on read sucks, Buck thought as he pocketed his phone. It was unusual, in fact unheard of for Buck to not hear from Tommy on his day off, since they started seeing each other he didn’t think they’d gone a whole 12 hours without texting, but he tried hard not to think about it.
Buck doesn’t hear from Tommy, and goes a little nuclear about it, meanwhile Tommy is dealing with his own traumas.

Buck looks at Eddie, for the first time in eight years. The changes in his face aren’t as drastic as they were for Chris – Eddie didn’t have puberty to get through. But his age shows, in the crows feet around his eyes and the slight frown lines. Before he left, Eddie was still in shape for working in the LAFD. Eddie looks – softer. Buck has no doubt he’s kept up with his fitness, but being CPAT-ready is a different deal.
And despite himself – Buck thinks Eddie looks good. It’s like a pang in his chest, when he finally lets himself acknowledge it. Eddie is older but just as handsome, even though he looks as awkward as Buck feels. His traitorous heart does a little flip, like there’s a chance of anything happening.
or: Buck hasn’t seen Christopher Diaz in eight years – not since his dad moved back to El Paso, breaking Buck’s heart in the process. He’s surprised Christopher wants anything to do with him when he moves back to Los Angeles for college, but Christopher is adamant on reconnecting. But with Christopher comes Eddie, and Buck has to contend with the fact that he never got over him.

Summary
Buck decides to try his hand at making Tommy's mother's tomato sauce for him. It's something he knows Tommy will love if he gets it right—but that’s a big if. He’s not worried that Tommy will be upset at him for trying and failing, but it defeats the purpose of showing Tommy how much he means to Buck if he can’t get something this important to Tommy right.
Buck is all in on this, on Tommy. They haven’t actually been dating long enough for him to feel like he can say that to Tommy yet, but he wants to show him. He wants Tommy to see how good their future together would taste. If Tommy can come home to a fresh batch of the one good part of his childhood, maybe he’ll be more inclined to keep Buck around.
