Wanting to move out for college, Pure Vanilla asks his friend — Hollyberry, if she could help him find a roommate.
As it turns out, her girlfriend — Eternal Sugar, has a friend who is also looking for one.
Their first meeting doesn't go very smoothly, leaving both with a bad aftertaste and weird sense of nostalgia, forcing them to unravel feelings and memories they should have long since forgotten.

"Good day to you, Shadow Milk." A gentle voice.
Pure Vanilla lifted his free hand, palm facing up. Not quite demanding. Not quite requesting either. A gesture that was held open for as long as Shadow Milk needed to decide.
Shadow Milk didn't take long to follow through, placing his hand against that open palm and let himself be slowly pulled close to the former. His floating made up for their height difference with Shadow Milk being slightly smaller. A fact that he very much resented.
Or 5 times Shadow Milk was kissed out of nowhere by Pure Vanilla who pretended nothing happened right after and 1 time he got his revenge. (Or also, recognizing the loss of Pure Vanilla Cookie's old Kingdom)

No doubt the citizens were bundled up inside with their loved ones, playing board games, making meals. Comforted with warm blankets and hot drinks, bracing for the inevitable downpour. Shadow Milk looked back to the empty bedroom. Dark and still, the space looked borderline foreboding from where he perched.

There’s a sound itching at the back of his mind, a soft repetition that’s forcing Pure Vanilla’s eyes back open with its unfamiliarity. He mumbles a groan, pushing himself up in bed as he brushes back the hair from his forehead and reaches for the staff beside him. As his hand finds purchase, he lifts it up high and scans the room around him.
Pure Vanilla’s vision may still be blurred from blinking back sleep, but there’s a familiar blue form seated at his dresser.
“Shadow Milk Cookie?”
The form turns; bright white hair sways from the movement, spilling over slender shoulders and adorned with a large blue bow. Sharp eyes peer at him, framed by an unkind smile curved in a smirk.
“Aw,” is all but sneered. “Miss him already?”
