Summary
Dick has been seeing Jason since the day he died. In the shadows of alleyways, in the Batcave, sitting at the foot of his bed. Not always the same Jason—sometimes he's twelve with scraped knees, sometimes seventeen and furious, sometimes the man he never got to see him become. But when a new player in Gotham starts calling himself the Red Hood, something changes. Suddenly, the Jason in Dick's head starts saying things he shouldn't know. Starts looking older. More solid. It started slow, usually.
The headaches. It was the tiredness that preceded everything else — his body preparing for the onslaught of pain that’d last him for a day. Usually, he texted Bruce when a headache would take him out for the count, but… Spryal still left some untended, gaping wounds in his fragile chest, the size of Bruce’s relentless fists. Bruce didn’t know his routine, Bruce didn’t deserve to know his routine — let alone when he was at his most vulnerable.

Summary
After everything that went down with the Crime Syndicate and then Spyral, Nightwing couldn't do it anymore. Five years after retiring the mask, five years after Bruce had once again cut him out of the family, Dick Grayson returns to Gotham. But Detective Grayson is not the only transfer from Bludhaven. An enemy from across the bay makes an explosive debut onto the scene of Gotham's organized crime that has the GCPD racing against a clock that could cost the lives of thousands. Including one of their own.

Summary
Dick remembers a similar time, a little Robin in green pixie shorts, a head full of determination and dead circus patents, captured by a clown with a face-splitting grin.
He deserves to rot there in his cage, but he was saved by the least expected person Dick could think of.
Batman was supposed to always be there for his Robins, always there to save them. Batman's arrival, he would understand.
But not him.
