Summary
By Thursday evening, Katsuki could tell he was getting sick.
It was after sunset, and he was still at his agency, doing paperwork in his office. Even though it was boring, there was a kind of satisfaction in making sure everything was filled out absolutely correct, on time, and sent to the right place. And it was part of his hero career, so he couldn't hate it.
Even so, Katsuki was having trouble concentrating tonight. He felt tired, like it was three hours later than it was, and his head hurt. He hadn't been in any fights this week or done anything particularly grueling. The only abnormality he could think of was Chihaya.
Because Katsuki wasn't an idiot, he set his paperwork aside early. He pulled up his email and messaged his secretary to say he'd be out sick tomorrow. Then he went home.

He stared at Izuku’s face while the nerd mumbled away, his voice sounding far away and muffled. He could feel droplets of sweat falling from his face and running down every part of his skin. It felt like he was simultaneously on fire and submerged in an icy lake with how hard he was shivering.
A thought flickered through his head, telling him that maybe, just maybe, he should really, probably, very much consider going to Recovery Girl just about now.

Masaru comes to a halt when Katsuki does, just a few steps behind him. His son drops to one knee, his small five-year-old fingers fumbling with the laces to re-tie them—though he’s not really tying anything. Katsuki hasn't mastered that particular skill just yet.
No, he’s pausing to get the rest that he needs during their hike but won’t admit to it. Masaru doesn’t say a word, just waits patiently for him to finish.
Masaru knows that Katsuki is capable of pushing past his pain, his limits. But he shows his son that sometimes, it's okay to lean on your old man.

Izuku touched down just shy of the sidewalk. The police barricade blocked off this section of road, so he didn't need to worry about traffic, which was convenient. He had plenty of other worries.
"Deku," the approaching officer said, "It's good to see you."
"How is he?" Izuku blurted, which was maybe not that professional.
"Hard to say," the officer said. He glanced over his shoulder, toward the nearest alley. "He wont let us get close. No one is hurt, besides some light bruising, but we're afraid he'll escalate if we push him. So we evacuated the two nearest buildings, and we've been waiting for you."

Iida stared. His jaw tensed, relaxed again. Then, slowly, he said, "Todoroki—has Midoriya ever asked you for help?"
"Yes," Shouto snapped, "With Stain."
"That was for me," Iida said, cautious, "He asked you for help because I was in trouble. Has he ever done that for himself?"

He’s seen it before, and with the life he intends to lead as a Jedi, he will no doubt see it again. He knew the risks going in and he still flung himself headfirst into it anyway because he thought that maybe, just maybe, he could be the one to prevent death.
Even with the bodies on the ground around him, a part of him still thinks he can save them.
