Summary
Alastor’s powers were not the only thing he lost control of when his staff got broken by Adam. With Alastor’s return to the newly rebuilt hotel his unruly shadow is making his life increasingly difficult, and worse, completely ruining his reputation. The thing had no sense of self respect, happily cuddling up to Alastor’s most hated enemies just to annoy him, knowing Alastor could feel every touch through their connection. And to make matters worse the shadow, still plagued with nostalgic feelings for Alastor’s once friend now enemy, has taken it upon itself to play match maker. If Rosie didn’t fix his staff for him soon, Alastor was surely going to lose it.

Zoro swayed on his feet with blood dripping from all over his body. Old wounds had reopened, and barely through his wincing eye could he see Sanji with his flaming foot raised in the air and the most horrified expression Zoro had ever seen.
“Oh my God,” Sanji said, staring at Zoro’s protruding ribs. “What…”
Sanji trailed off, unable to look away from Zoro’s condition, but he was forced back into the task at hand since Zoro’s unbelievably light body collapsed straight into his own.
Or:
Zoro gets kidnapped by marines and faces extreme torment for months. With his muscles withered and health damaged, recovery is tougher than he thought, but to his surprise, Sanji insists on helping him regain his strength. Turns out Sanji was disturbed by the swordsman's condition on a more personal matter.

Summary
Zoro’s head whipped to a sharp clattering coming from the galley, and he moved toward the kitchen’s door, peering curiously through the porthole to find the origin of the sound. It was Sanji, and Zoro assumed he had woken up only a couple of minutes earlier. He was in clear distress, and his hands shook as he poured himself a cup of water.
“How much time has passed?” Sanji murmured to himself, his head falling into his arms, and he crumpled into himself onto the countertop. “I’ve failed everyone once, I can’t afford to fail them again.” Zoro frowned at the blonde’s admission, wondering where and when Sanji had assumed he had failed the Straw Hats. Could it have been on Whole Cake Island? Or when he left on Zou?
Zoro made to push the door to the galley, but stopped himself when Sanji aggressively grabbed the kitchen’s den den mushi, his breaths coming out short as he dialed a number into the snail’s side. “Hello. Yes, it’s me. I need your help. Don’t give me that shit, you owe me.” Zoro’s eyebrows raised at the reproach in Sanji’s voice, but remained where he was as he continued to observe his crewmate. “I’ll give you anything you want. Help me kill the Straw Hats.”

Perona, on the other hand, is PISSED, and chooses to handle it with a lot less grace.Chapter one is Perona-centric; chapter two is Zoro-centric.

Summary
When Judge hears word of Sanji's quickly developing Germa genetic mutations, he disregards his promise to stay away from the Straw Hats and makes a move on his third son once again, this time with worse intentions than merely marrying him off. Refusing to sit down and accept this outcome, the entire Straw Hat crew will fight for their ship's cook, and a certain swordsman starts to realise that his feelings might run deeper than he once thought.
Meanwhile, in Germa, the remaining Vinsmoke siblings are facing the opposite issue. Unbeknownst to Judge, his emotionless soldier sons are starting to seem not quite as emotionless, and so an older sister sees an opportunity, and decides to take a chance.

“I need the whole scoop,” Perona tells him, moving to crowd him towards the foyer.
“You don’t, actually?” Zoro frowns, batting her hands away as she attempts to manhandle him into a seat, “you don’t need shit.”
“Zoro,” she hisses, shoving a manicured finger into his nose, “either you tell me willingly or I will pull it from you with your smitten sorrows.”
The swordsman snarls, his eyes crossing as he glares down her finger.
“Spill.”
Perona can see the way his jaw clenches tight and she smirks. She knows he’s only angry because she’s winning.
“I… I’m in love with the Cook,” Zoro grits out.

Sanji made a scoffing sound. “You can’t just decide that, asshole,” he said, tying off the thread. He trailed his fingertips over the jagged seam, checking for any imperfections. “You can’t cheat death.”
“We’ll see.”
To Sanji, Zoro is an enigma. An infuriating one, but one he is drawn to nonetheless. For as much self-assurance Zoro appears to have, Sanji has about as much self-doubt. If he can just understand what goes on inside that mossy head of his, maybe he can figure a few things out about himself as well.
Discovering that there might be something other than rivalry brewing between them, is something Sanji isn't quite prepared for.
