Summary
It started with a button.
A stupid, traitorous, impossible-to-close button.
Mike stood in front of the mirror, shirt half-done, frowning like the fabric had personally insulted him. It wasn’t that it didn’t fit—it did, technically—but there was a tightness to it that hadn’t been there before. A whisper of resistance right where his stomach curved, soft and new. He tried sucking in a little, fastening it again, and it worked, sure, but the line of the fabric wasn’t lying. The man staring back at him wasn’t quite the same sleek, wiry version of himself that had started working under Harvey Specter.

Summary
His hand, resting lightly on Harvey’s thigh, had been there for a while now. It started as balance, and now — now it felt like something else. Harvey’s leg was solid under his palm, heat seeping through wool slacks, and Mike’s thumb shifted, just slightly, brushing back and forth in an unconscious rhythm.
Harvey inhaled, slow and deep, like he’d noticed.
Mike froze.

Summary
But then Harvey had leaned in, close enough that Mike could smell him—cologne and power and something distinctly Harvey—and murmured something about skipping dessert and heading to his place instead.
Mike had been halfway out of the booth before Harvey even finished the sentence.
Now he was bent over the back of Harvey's stupidly expensive leather couch, his legs shaking, his hair damp with sweat and sticking to his forehead, trying to remember what the hell led to this moment besides bad decisions and Harvey Specter’s goddamn stamina.

Summary
The first thing Mike did when Harvey died was stop eating.
It wasn't intentional, or at least that was what he told himself in the fragile, tissue-paper hours between three and five in the morning, lying on his back in the bed they'd shared for two years with his arms crossed over his chest like he was the one in the ground.
It wasn't grief, either, though grief was certainly there, a massive, ugly, graceless thing that had taken up residence somewhere behind his sternum and showed no signs of vacating.
It was simpler than grief. It was that every time Mike Ross sat down with food in front of him, he thought about Harvey Specter's hands, and the thought made eating feel obscene.
Like a betrayal of some obscure and private covenant he hadn't known he'd made.

Summary
Harvey stared at the pile of wood like it had personally wronged him.
There were four slats, two long panels, a headboard, a footboard, and roughly forty screws that all looked identical despite what the manual—which he was not reading—claimed were three different sizes. He'd been at this for almost two hours.
Two hours.
He'd closed multimillion dollar mergers in less time. He'd once talked a judge out of a contempt charge in under twenty minutes. And here he was, on his knees on the nursery floor, getting outmaneuvered by particleboard.
"This is a scam," he announced to the room. "This whole industry is a scam. There is no possible way this is supposed to take this long."
From the rocking chair in the corner, Mike didn't even look up from the tiny sock he was folding. "Mm-hm."

Can't believe they left all these very important details out of the finale. Yeah, someone dies, but he had it coming. And, of course 90% of Ed's choices were a long con. We all know that. Pfft.

Summary
In April 2012, I wrote a one-shot on Fanfiction.net called 'A Father's Request', thinking it would just be a fun one-off. Then the comments came in encouraging me to go further.
So I did.
Majority was written before 2018, then I took a hiatus spanning nearly ten years from writing in it, but I was always working on it in the back of my mind. Hiatus is done! Enjoy the new fics, the old fics, and the rewritten ones.
So everyone, old and new readers, please enjoy the life of the Bat Clan without running off every five minutes to save Gotham. It doesn't mean Gotham or the criminal world will leave them alone, though. In fact, it just gives them completely new problems and the same old problems with a new twist. The idea is simple: What if Batman retired the cowl shortly after closing the Grayson case to raise their son?
Required: All the other batkids coming in naturally without destroying their origin stories, favorite story arcs, no one dies, nothing off the wall insane, light-hearted fun. Mostly pre-52 inspired.HALF COTTON CANDY FLUFF
