So there I was, locked in a holding cell at whatever precinct it was in Detroit, Michigan in the year 2038. Really, the whole holding cell thing is a little excessive. I don’t know why they needed to go these lengths. I’m in a tiny body, and unfortunately, YK500 androids aren’t all that strong, or so I’ve learned. Mostly the hard way. Kara is sitting across from me, glaring of course, and it’s honestly understandable. It’s my fault we’re here after all. Not really one of my finer moments, I will admit. But hey, it could be worse. At least I'm not dead. Anymore.
Reader gets hit by a car and wakes up in the body of Alice Williams. Shenanigans ensue.

Summary
Kara is an RK400 android, a prototype meant for hunting and neutralizing deviants. She is assigned to Lieutenant Rose Chapman to help with deviant cases, but the lieutenant's personal issues tend to get in the way. Still, she's determined to work through it.
Connor is an AX800 android. Functions include child rearing, housework, and the optional feature of being a sexual partner. His memory is reset after an accident that required serious repairs. He is bought by Todd Williams and is given the simple tasks of cleaning, cooking, and taking care of Alice. He tries to turn a blind eye at the violent tendencies of his owner. He's sure everything will work itself out.
But nothing ever works out, does it?

Hank took them in after the revolution has ended successfully, and for teenage android models Connor and Nines, this means they get their basic rights, including the one to education.
Being forced to join a school for the first time, they are bullied all while Nines struggles with friends and Connor struggles with his brother's declining mental health.
Nothing seems to get better until Nines discovers that there are far more layers to Gavin than he could have ever predicted; in the end, it might be Nines who has to help his bully before it's too late.
