Summary
This is another tale of redemption that belongs to Arthur Morgan alone; and, within that true and brutal history, a solemn elegy for the Chinese people who lived through it.

Then she woke in 1899, half-frozen in the mountains of Ambarino, wearing the name Cloud Lee and carrying a past that did not entirely belong to her.
Disguised as a young Chinese man, hunted by enemies from Saint Denis, and taken in by the Van der Linde gang, Cloud tries to survive in a world that was never meant to have her in it.
But the closer she gets to Arthur, the harder it becomes to stay silent.

Arthur ended up with a son from a woman that he fell in love with years earlier. After she died in childbirth, Arthur was left to raise him alone with the support of the Van der Linde Gang. Fourteen years later, what once was a mild task has now been flipped on its head. His son starts to grow tired of being locked within the safety of the camp and starts leaning toward the path of discovery.
This fic is NOT abandoned! I just have to be an adult now and focus on adult things 🥲. Trust me, this fic is always on my mind. I just need to find time to work on it. This is a new prequel to the events of Red Dead Redemption 2, featuring an OC, Dutch's daughter Emmylou "Lou" Van der Linde.A heads-up that I did write a short with Dutch's daughter in it a while back ("Three Protégés", in the Bellicose collection, but this one will be different. Mostly romance, some darker themes coming in (can't help myself). Definitely 18+!

I've been replaying rdr2, and have fallen in love with the van der linde gang again (well most of them). This story is au but follows the storyline of the game, and beyond, without the tb for obvious reasons. Hope you enjoy,

Fought together, became best friends, spent their lives together and fell in love. Ten years ago, a terrible event happened, and Isabella was lost to the gang. Now they've found her again, and she needs to learn to relive as part of the family that had once been everything to her. As well as finding a way to be around the man she once loved and the man whose heart she broke.
