He will do anything for his brother. If that means running away from home to Santa Carla, he'll do it. Michael will find a safe harbor for Sam. Even if it means giving up his own humanity in the process. He's not too upset. Humanity has never done much for him or his brother. David and the boys are offering a once in a lifetime opportunity. One he would be stupid to turn down.

I am not using Marvel's rules on vampires, this is very much set in The Lost Boys movieverse. No X-men are showing up. There will be a couple of mutants later on, but all are minor characters being implemented to demonstrate the state of the world to understand Michael and Sam's decisions.
