She operates on a child whose name she does not know.
Her entire leg has been ruined, blown off wholesale by a bomb.
It is unsalvageable, and there is no fentanyl left. No other painkillers either. They do not have any. They have run out.
‘Azizam,’ she says, like the child might hear her, ‘azizam.’

Summary
The roof is quiet in a way the rest of the hospital never is.
Down below everything is moving fast, monitors are beeping, gurneys are rattling, there's voices overlapping in controlled urgency.
But up here, the noise has softened into a distant hum like the city is breathing out after holding itself together all night.

Summary
Dennis Whitaker is almost done with his residency at PTMC. He’s matched, he’s on nights with Dr. Abbot, and he’s finally—supposedly—over his crush on Dr. Michael 'Robby' Robinavitch.
Then Robby and Abbot get punished, shifts are swapped, and suddenly Dennis is back to work under his former mentor.
Old feelings don’t stay buried for long. Especially when it turns out Robby isn’t nearly as unaffected as Dennis thought...

Summary
Dennis Whitaker was raised to be ashamed of what he was, of who he was. Omegas were better kept hidden, out of sight and out of mind, until the time came to use them. He spent his heats alone, locked away in one of the sheds on the farm. Nobody to help or hold him, nobody to tell him it was going to be okay. He just wanted it to be okay.
Running away from Broken Bow was the best decision he had ever made.
Even if that meant struggling to get by, to make it through medical school while also being technically homeless. He was alive, he was free.
Until an accidental pre-heat encounter lands him in the bed of two much older alphas. Alphas who also happen to be the lead attendings for his ER rotation. Suddenly, a one-night stand turns into something far more complicated. Something capable of changing all of their lives for good.
If only their stubbornness would stop getting in the damn way.

Summary
The fourth of July is meant to be a time of celebration, not a time of looking down at your dead coworker in the viewing room of the place you work. PTMC has had its fair share of coworker deaths, but none quite like this.

Summary
The first goal of any foster placement is always reunification. Except…John didn’t seem to have anyone to be reunified with.
Jack and Robby are newly married, and have made the decision to become foster parents. Enter John Shen, a foster child struggling with diabetes, who could really use two brilliant doctors taking care of him...as long as they can put aside their own insecurities to be there for him.
Can be read alone, but this is also a prequel to Stay Gold--this is Jack and Robby eight years before that. They are less mentally healthy, less emotionally competent, and less experienced being parents. But they're still doing their best.
This story is complete and new chapters will be posted every Sunday.

Summary
Leaving Robby had felt like the only choice he could live with, on both occasions. It had been easier, at the time, to believe that distance was a form of protection...Therapy had a way of dismantling ideas like that. The more Jack talked about it, the more obvious it became that leaving hadn’t protected either of them from anything. It had only meant they spent years miserable in different places...
Still, the last two years had forced him to build something resembling a life again. Slowly, the routines of recovery gave way to something steadier. The anger that once filled his days dulled into something more manageable. Eventually, that quiet, empty apartment started to feel less like a refuge and more like a cage, and once that happened, the next step became obvious.
He needed to work again.
OR: Two years after leaving Robby for the second time, Jack feels ready to work again, landing a job at PTMC. When he discovers Robby also works there, they have to figure out how to exist together again, and whether the twelve years between them broke something permanent or just left something unfinished.
A continuation of "Half a World Away, and Already Halfway Gone".
