Rubicon 3 was meant to be a simple job. Get in, figure out if the MIA Squad Alpha was alive or not, pillage enough Coral to buy his freedom, get out. Of course, things couldn't go that simply for Augmented Human C4-621. As if being caught between a desperate struggle between the corporations, the PCA, and the locals just trying to live their lives on their own home wasn't enough, why not throw in some conspiracies regarding hackavist groups, cults, possibly sentient AIs, and cute aliens for good measure.
But despite it all, maybe with these borrowed wings, 621 "Raven" could find freedom not just for himself, but for those around him as well. As long as he doesn't end up wanting to kill them in their sleep first.

While putting an end to the military conflict between ZAFT and the Earth Alliance, Freedom pilot Kira Yamato inadvertently answers two oft-asked question in PLANT academia: Do other worlds exist? Does life exist on other worlds?
After the energy overflow from Genesis's self-destruction causes Kira's mobile suit to be spatio-temporally relocated to a distant universe with a shattered moon, he comes into contact with creatures of darkness, other mobile suit-style machines of war, a racial divide almost as bad as that between Natural and Coordinator, a Kingdom with an obsession over engineering to rival ZAFT, and monster hunters training at a school to kill the creatures of darkness.
Meanwhile, while the top freshman Hunstmen team at Beacon, Team RWBY, is planning how to deal with Roman Torchwick and the White Fang, they're sent by Ozpin into the Emerald Forest to seek out a ten meter tall machine that fell from the sky, only to find a boy barely their height to be the master of it. Freedom would soon be the sword used to prevent conflict once more.

It seemed as if all his efforts were for nothing, but then suddenly there came a sound like buckling steel and a massive dark silhouette rose from the steep drop in front of the icy slope he huddled on. At first he thought it was a spacecraft, but then he realized it had teeth. What kind of a machine had teeth?
With an earsplitting droning warble, twin crimson headlights which he figured to be its eyes flared to life, bathing him and the circle of snow around him in a ruby glow like some alien parody of stage lights.
He cringed backwards, awkwardly using one chill-stiffened forearm to block the oppressive beam of brilliance. Was this how he would die, then? Not from the cold, but hunted by some giant machine-beast he’d stupidly summoned with his desperate plea?
