Kiyoomi’s current problem: Everyone adores the new barista working in his cat cafe.
All of his regulars seem to love Atsumu and his cats cling onto the blond as if he was their new best friend. Sure, Atsumu is charming, attractive and makes the best damn coffee Kiyoomi’s ever tasted, but Kiyoomi still doesn’t get it.

“Then you wouldn’t mind,” Atsumu said, his voice a soft rasp, “if I held yer hand, right?”
Kiyoomi stared at Atsumu wide-eyed and open-mouthed. When Kiyoomi’s objection never came, Atsumu tentatively pressed his fingertips into the soft skin of Kiyoomi’s palm.
Kiyoomi’s hand trembled, but he did not pull away. Atsumu slowly threaded their fingers together until their hands were entirely intertwined, flush and warm. Atsumu’s eyes drifted to their joined hands and then back to Kiyoomi’s face. His eyes did not glimmer with mischief. They burned.
After watching his parents’ and siblings’ marriages all end in divorce, Kiyoomi is convinced any relationship of his is doomed to fail. All his life he’s successfully resisted the urge to act on his feelings, and he plans to keep it that way.
Until Atsumu holds his hand on a whim, and everything falls apart.

His mother pauses. “With whom?”
Kiyoomi doesn’t see him at first. He’s so busy trying not to glare down Miya-san that he doesn’t notice the way every head in the room suddenly turns toward the open door.
“My great nephew,” Miya-san says.
Kiyoomi’s eyes only flicker up then.
And when it does—when he finally sees who’s standing there, leaning casually against the doorframe, his fake blond hair brushed to the side and that infuriating, crooked smile on his face—it hits him like a punch to the fucking gut.

Sakusa Kiyoomi, heir incumbent of the multibillion yen Itachiyama Group, has been raised and trained to take over his family’s legacy. He could never have expected that not having a soulmate would jeopardize that future. He could never have expected that the challenger for his crown would be the one person he hates more than anyone else.

Summary
Miya Atsumu hated his job. Ever since a major injury benched him from ever playing volleyball again, he had to find a job with zero qualifications. This ended up being an assistant to a multimillionaire CEO, Sakusa Kiyoomi. After he was hired on the spot, he should have realized all of the red flags that surrounded the position. But, he was just happy to be working. Two years later, he regretted ever applying. But, he'd rather be unhappy and employed then forever job hunting. So, he swallowed his pride and played the little errand boy for the devil himself; his boss. The very boss that had the prettiest face he's ever seen, the very boss who's hands would fit perfectly around his body, and the very boss who was the most callous man he's ever met.
So, after a night out, multiple drinks later, and still upset about the events that played out at work that morning, Atsumu decided that Sakusa Kiyoomi needed a piece of his mind (even if he wouldn't remember it in the morning). One single email that enacted a string of events that Atsumu could have never seen coming.
