Summary
A ward.
Or more accurately, a slave. That's what they've become.
Under the Restoration Accords, former Death Eaters are stripped of their freedom and forced into service.
As a Magical Compliance Assessor, Hermione Granger is forced to enforce a system she never believed in.
So she does what she can, quietly and carefully, trying to protect those trapped within it.Until protecting them is no longer enough.
When Hermione is pushed to act, she finds herself returning to someone she never expected to trust.
Draco Malfoy.
Not because he pulls her into the dark,
but because, like her, he refuses to accept it.And once she chooses him,
he has no intention of letting her walk away. -

Summary
The trio's search for the Horcruxes was abandoned when Griphook absconded with the Sword of Gryffindor, leaving the three – traumatised and disheartened – to return to join the rest of the Order in the ongoing brutal war against Voldemort. Several months later a maimed, disillusioned, and broken Draco surrenders himself to the Order after his failures earn him Voldemort's displeasure, and Hermione finds herself the warder of the prisoner in the cellar.
The Risk'verse Quartet is an epic, coming-of-age wartime series that follows Hermione, Draco, and the Order of the Phoenix throughout an extended war, and then onward into the aftermath. It's a realism-focused character and relationship study, with dual POV, angst and hurt/comfort, slow emotional burn w/ glacial physical burn, bickering & banter, a secret relationship, Classical Latin as a love language, violence and gore, coping with broken families, and how the brutal toll of war and trauma changes people.
But at the heart of it all, it's about a love that eclipses everything else.

Summary
Hermione Granger didn't really expect to live through the war, or at least she hadn't planned for what would come after. Now that it was over, she had to figure out how to move on and what to do next.
She decided to focus on a number of personal projects. Getting her NEWTs. Becoming an Animagus. Figuring out who she really was by doing whatever she wanted.
As part of her progress towards that last part, she let herself get distracted by Draco Malfoy and Theodore Nott, and ended up doing a lot of things she'd never done before.
